15/04/2016 Q Cinemas,9:40am 80 % Fan is a compete winner for its 1st half & Succeeds just partially in the second half.A Movie which could have been a gem is spoiled by a lazily written second half.The amount of happiness & Joy of Seeing SRK-THE actor is screen was immense,Being his big big fan - just loved the 1st half - Some of the dialogues were amazingly written - Duniye he woh mera ,The Old footages of King Khan were well mixed during the titles,the amount of goosebumps during those scenes .SRK - Amazing Perfomance as both Gaurav & Aaryan,He carried the whole movie,It was his amazing perfomance which lifted the 2nd half from being a total dump,His perfomance in the climax was splendid One thing is evident from this movie, - SRK is still the Badshah of Bollywood - King Khan - Duniye ka Sabse Bada Superstar . 1st half was a complete winner in all means,Even without songs & regular masala elements,It was totally engaging,Its all about Gaurav's love towards Aaryan.Pre-Interval portions were superb,we would feel for Gaurav,Then comes the terrific interval block - Ab Star Fan ke peeche bhagega .It gave immense hope that 2nd half will be big & better.But 2nd half was just avg,It was SRK's perfomance which made this into the avg zone.Gaurav-Aaryan action scenes were over the top,.The 1st half was subtle, realistic & completely entertaining while the 2nd half was cinematic which made things disappointing.Then the only relief was the ending,Emotional and Feel Good . Technically,Dop was great.Dubrovick & London shots in the 2nd half were superb.Editing was fine.SRK mivie without song was something new to me,Anyway the Bgm was intense & superb.The Story was good & different,If the 2nd half was treated with more care,This would have created wonders.Direction was great in the first half whereas it was just avg in the 2nd half,Screenplay also lacked the intensity during the 2nd half.It was more of a Cat & Mouse Game.As a Big Big Fan of my Dear King Khan,I liked the movie,But definitely not upto the expected level.
