Kasaba, the Mammootty starring police story, will hit the theatres this Eid. The movie is written and directed by Nithin Renji Panicker, the son of writer-actor-director Renji Panicker.

If things fall in place, Mollywood will witness a massive theatre clash between Kasaba, and the highly anticipated Mohanlal starrer Puli Murugan, this Eid. However, the reports are yet to be confirmed.

Reportedly, Mammootty's character in the movie, Circle Inspector Rajan Zachariah, is not like the earlier police officer roles played by the mega star. Rajan is an officer who is very cunning and soft-natured.

He is an officer, who knows very well to fit into any type of situation and solve the issues. Rajan is not one of those filmy police officers, who stuns with the strong actions and dialogues.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the popular Tamil actress, who is the daughter of actor Sarathkumar, makes her Malayalam movie debut with Kasaba. She is playing the main female lead in the movie.

The movie stars Poonam Bajwa, Neha Saxena, Kalabhavan Navas, Manoj Guinness, etc in the other pivotal roles. Kasaba is produced by Renji Panicker and Anto Joseph under the banner Good Will Entertainments.

 

The shoot of Nithin Renji Panikker's debut film Kasaba has been completed. After 55 days of shoot, the crew called it a pack up.

The film is introducing a new actress to Mollywood. She is none other than the popular Kannada actress Neha Saxena. Take a look at few pictures of the actress.

Neha Saxena, who is basically from Dehradun, has been a prominent face in the modelling industry. Before venturing to Mollywood, she made her presence felt in Kannada, Telugu, Tulu and Tamil films.

She has acted in over 15 films after making her debut through the Kannada film Just Love. At present, she is a resident of Bangalore.

In Kasaba, the actress would be seen in the role of a girl named Susan, who lives in a brothel. The actress definitely looks gorgeous in the stills released by the makers.

Kasaba marks the comeback of actor Mammootty into a mass police officer role. Mammootty would be seen in the role of C I Rajan Zachariah who is also known as Idiyan Zachariah.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar would be also seen in an important role in this film. The film also features actors like Sampath, Jagadish in prominent roles
