Khakki, again tailored for Mammootty..The film “Kasaba” reveals the Police story, but something unusual and the film holds certain other importance
with the direction. The film “Kasaba” is the debut directorial venture of young
talented Nidhin Renji Panicker and he is the blessed son of Renji Panicker, the successful script writer of many super
hit movies based on police adventures. Kasaba, the Mammootty starrer would
have everything to entertain, because the film is coming under the
dexterous touch of Nidhin, the off spring of famous Renji Panicker and he is also an actor now. The
dialogues in the Renji Panicker movies are popular with the linguistic
harshness and the dialogues helped Mammooty and Suresh Gopi to earn vast mileage in their acting career.
Nidhin himself been proclaimed that Kasaba will be an individual movie and
as an effort he never tried seeking help on scripting or for anything from his father, he said the previous police
stories written by his father was fledged with his own talent and there would have no similarity in the coming
movie Kasaba. The cine lovers of Kerala don’t have to expect another extension of Commissioner or King.
Nidhin says “Kasaba” will be a film entirely different from previous police
centered cinemas and he described the situation “why Mammootty came as
first choice to play the central character” , it was after thinking of the cinema and the story finished,
there is no other choice than only Mammooty, the main character sparked in the Kasaba filming idea.
While at the time sitting with Mammooty for storytelling, the one line of Kasaba inspired him very
much and he agreed to join with the venture and put some suggestions and opinions in front of me and
we have developed the thread of Kasaba to uplift the character image equal to the highlights of Mammootty, the unparalleled actor. He acts as
Rajan Sakharia, a Circle Inspector of Kerala Police, though he is mere an
ordinary Police officer he is getting a mission to nab certain convicts. His
senior officer is victim of some tragic events and C.I Rajan Skharia is taking a bravery act to find the realities behind the calamity happened to the senior officer’s family and he reaches in the Kerala – Karnataka
