    This is ROARING VINTAGE. #Kabali looks like a throwback, a tribute and a respectful celebration of the legend. Floored as any fanboy.

    This shot is the biggest takeaway from the teaser. Eyes swelled up with memories. These youngsters know how to portray someone whom they have grown up watching. They know how to respectfully and sensibly use a legend who ignited their passion for cinema. This is a collective effort from G Murali, Santhosh Narayanan, and Ranjith. Oh damn. The wait is going to be long and painful until we get inside the screens and roar for the enigma, all over again. "THALAIVAA"!

    I can sense the tone of "nakkal" in the punch. Like a friend said, the dialogues don't sound like your conventional punchline (which have been reduced to nursery rhymes off late). The hero is named after a villain. There is a flashback. There is an establishing shot for the gangster's ride (Mercedes). There is the surprise element, that they have guarded so very well all these days. With so much packed in already, I believe there is lots more in store for sure!
