Martin Prakkat Talks About CHARLE

Director Martin Prakkat talks about his new movie Charlie and what makes the movie special . The young director feels was found talking about the movie .

” It is as such a simple love story and there is no suspenseinvolved , giving away anymore would be like revealing the entire story .And i dont think Charlie makes way into any specific genre as well ” he says.”I initially approached Dulquer with a different subject and after listening to the story he told that he is ready to do it anytime. This is how we ended up with making Charlie . This is the kind of bond we share and he doesnt initiate such liberties with anyone else. He was even offering to co- produce Charlie “says a happy Martin. MArtin talked about his second collaboration with Dulquer ” He hasnt changed a bit, our friendship has evolved over the years .

We have our small arguments and fun moments in the set. Which in fact leads to bringing out the best movie in us. ” ” If we saw Dulquer in ABCD playing a character based on his real life, Charlie takes him through a totally unknown path , which made it very challenging for him and this also made him the happiest .He essays a role that he has never played before and my approach towards the film has also been very different. ” says Martin ashe talks about the kind of difference between his first and second movie.

Dulquer’s first look posters in Charlie went viral among the youth of Kerala , as he sported a Bohemian look with a full grown beard in it. Charlie is expected to be a mass puller with all the essential mash-ups of acommercial hit. MArtin Prakkat and Unni R penned the script for Charlie . The DQ- Martin duo’s ABCD fared fairly well at the box – office with positive reviews from critics . The movie sealed DQ as a romantic charmer in Mollywood who can effortlessly essay a lover boy of character. Parvathy Menon and Aparna will play the female leads alongside Dulquer in the movie Charlie. Nedumudi Venu , Joju George, Chemban Vinod , Joy Mathew , Renji Panicker, Sunil Sughatha , Tovino Thomas , Soubin , Neeraj Madhav , Jacob Gregory , Ramesh Pisharody , Kannan Sagar , Seetha and Kalpana will be part of the crew .
Charlie is made under the banner of Finding Films . Gopi Sunder works on the music department while Santhosh Varma and Rafeeq Ahammed works on the lyrical beauty of the songs. Jomon T John is the man behind the camera.
