There is that practiced attention, as Anandan mumbles the lines over and over again. An unfailing conviction, his calmly closed eyes exudes. He is finally getting something which he loved doing. Dreamt doing. The closed eyes, without a strain line over the forehead shows the peace he conjures up that very instant.

But then he falters. He terribly stumbles over the lines. He desperately tries to gather them back. But then, time, sperms and fate moves at the blink of an eye speed. The chieftain moves on, gifting the role Anandan adorned his dreams with to another regular head around. The urgency to convince the honcho in the very few seconds offered, the efforts to impress with one solitary, flimsy line. And then the failure.

Anandan is forcibly stripped off the character. But the character remains in him till the garb is slowly unbuttoned . The heartbreak doesn't take much of a time to envelope, as he wails over the veil of fake beard he never thought of wearing again. The half open, half closed eye pupils are soaked. They wet the projector screen.

And in one of the most defining moments of this motion picture, Anandan stands bereft of all ego, dropping his pride, choosing cinema over CINEMA, awning his charisma over with the conventional caricature sprinkled in Khaki shades.

But his eyes rebels, for the pair knows his inherent worth.

The genius in the cinema director rightly fixes his subject (Anandan) to the last in the line of people. The genius of the actor involved, puts his eye stare to the very front, in seething pain, but with the rugged determination to own the pedestal, soon. The wandering eyes, the seething pain. The brightly lit pupils, the determination.

The finest actor of our times, underplays a myriad of emotions in just 90 seconds of screen happening. Mohanlal for a reason !
