Saw 2 movies The Witch:A low budget horror film which takes place in 19th century(I think).Slow pace problem allenkil kaanaam.Direction Kollaam Experimenter: Biopic on Stanley Milgram whose study about obedience and authority was controversial.Major portion of the movie deals with his experiments.What could have been a dull affair in less capable hands is presented well.Peter Sarsgaard is quite good as Milgram.The movie poses some interesting and thought provoking questions and is worth spending your ninety odd minutes. My Rating:7/10

Southpaw(2016) A somewhat predictable but pretty good movie.Jake Gylenhall is Billy Hope a champion boxer who loses everything and who is looking for redemption.Good performances by him and Forrest Whitaker helps the movie immensely.The fight sequences are good.

Midnight Special(2016) Jeff Nichols enna directorde ithinu munp kanda 3 filmsum enik ishtappettirunnu.(Take Shelter,Mud,Shotgun Stories).Midnight Special is a sci fi film.A boy with special abilities is "kidnapped" by his father(Michael Shannon) and father's friend(Joel Edgarton).Government agents and a religious cult who thinks the boy is their messiah is after them..Premise is good acting is top notch.It's a good movie.But the final portions were not as well crafted as the initial portions.Athpole thanne backstories palathum explain cheyyanulla oru sramam nadathiyittilla which seems deliberate. It's a good watch which is slightly inferior to Nichols's previous work and it's always nice to see Shannon in a leading role.
