Housefull 3 has emerged a HIT film with business of around 3.50 crore nett on the all important day eight. The business was better than the new Hindi releases and there will be good growth over the weekend especially on Sunday as it could be a repeat of last week as the families come out. The business of the film is around 83.50 croe nett in eight days.



There are drops in some circuits but North, Gujarat and Central India continues to do well with some circuits set to to record the highest figures of the year. Gujarat / Saurashtra will be number one by the end of the second week.



The lifetime business of the film is hard to judge as a lot depends on the release of Udta Punjab. If Udta Punjab gets delayed it can add 10-15 crore nett business to the film as it will dominate theatres till Sultan. The lifetime range seems to be 115-130 crore nett depending on the Udta Punjab issue..

Enthiran 2: Akshay Kumar beats Rajinikanth, becomes highest paid Indian actor.

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is touted as the highest paid actor in India. The Thalaiva, who usually charges more than Rs 80 crore per film, is only second to Jackie Chan in the list of highest paid actors in Asia.

Even in 2010, the Style Mannan was paid Rs 50 crore for Shankar's blockbusterEnthiran. Most Rajinikanth films ensure a record opening at the Box Office. However, his previous two films, Lingaa and Kochadaiiyaan were huge disasters at the Box Office.

Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan are the only two superstars in Bollywood who can be compared to Rajinikanth in terms of remuneration. Reportedly, both the Mujhe Shaadi Karoge actors used to charge Rs 35 crore to Rs 40 crore per film.

Post Veer though, all of Salman Khan films turned out to be Rs 100 crore hits at the Box office. But unlike Salman Khan and Rajinikanth, who does 1/2 films a year, Akshay Kumar's hit ratio is lesser than them, thanks to his 4-5 releases per year.
However, out of the last 10 Akshay Kumar starrers, except for Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara, Boss, and Brothers, the remaining films have done decent business at the Box Office. The Khiladi Kumar also produced two Rs 100 crore hits at the Box Office with Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty and Airlift. The actor's last week release,Housefull 3 too will join the century club within next few days.

And now, according to the latest update arriving from Kollywood, Akshay Kumar has emerged as the highest paid actor in India as the actor has been paid a bomb for his Tamil debut in Shankar's upcoming mega-budget film, Enthiran 2, a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran.

While the exact figures are yet-to-be-revealed, it has been confirmed that Lyca Productions, the producers of Enthiran 2, who were initially planning to cast Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, have reportedly given Akshay Kumar a fatter paycheck than the film's hero, Rajinikanth.

A report in a leading entertainment daily also suggests the same.

“Akshay Kumar has charged more than Rajni Sir to be part of 2.0. It's unbelievable but true,” a source reportedly told a leading daily.

According to the media reports, the makers have agreed to pay the ‘Baby’ actor a whopping remuneration.

"The makers approached Salman and Hrithik initially for the role but they took a lot of time to give their nod. Talks didn't materialise and when they discussed it with Akshay, they needed someone immediately to begin shoots and they agreed to all his demands,” the source added.

Currently, Akshay Kumar is busy with his upcoming movie ‘Rustom’. Helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai, ‘Rustom’ also stars Ileana D’Cruz and will hit the screens on August 12, 2016.

Everybody is aware of it that Rajinikanth is one of the highest paid actor of south Indian Film industry. It is heard that Akshay Kumar was paid bomb and his remuneration is more than Rajinkanth. He was paid Rs 2 Crores a day and the amount that comes after calculation, is more than the remuneration of Rajinikanth. The makers and technicians are tight-lipped about the matter, but according to the inside sources, Akshay charged more than Rajinikanth.

It is a trilingual movie and Akshay Kumar is the top star of Bollywood and that is the reason makers approached him. Actress Amy Jackson is playing the female lead role. It is produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Production and the music is scored by A R Rahman.
