The 2 mins 53 secs trailer ofThangamagan has been released as planned at 6 pm today (Dec 10). This Dhanush - Velraj venture seems to be a well-packaged mix of friendship, comedy counters, love before & after marriage, Anirudh's mellifluous songs & thumping RR, some villainy, action moments & gallery pleasing punch lines. But one feels that the lines eulogizing Tamil don't make any impact. Dhanush's banters with Sathish work well as the two pursue their respective lady loves. Andrea has dubbed for Amy Jackson, and her anglicized voice matches the stunning Brit beauty well. Both Dhanush and Sathish sport clean-shaven looks in an effort to look really young and naive. Samantha plays the wife and her happy life with husband Dhanush in a middle class setting, has been portrayed in a dignified family-friendly manner. Radhika and KS Ravikumar play Dhanush's parents and we are shown glimpses of their caring roles. Anirudh's songs serve as a cornerstone and the trailer uses these songs in the right manner. Any mainstream film would have its share of conflicts and Thangamagan's trailer also throws light on the conflict element and the villains in the tale. There is a suspense element over a voice that we hear in the trailer and there are many guesses as to who it could be. To sum up, the trailer has traces of films like 3, Raja Rani and also the combo's earlier VIP. But if the film has some freshness in its overall treatment, it is bound to work with the audiences when it releases on December 18. Good luck team.
Dhanush's next film 'Thangamagan' is ready to hit the screens next Friday that is December 18, 2015 as the final censor process has been completed today. The Censor board officials who watched the Velraj directed flick today have given a clean U certificate as an acknowledgment of its suitability for all age groups of moviegoers. Anirudh has scored the music and the songs are already making the right noise. The trailer that was released yesterday has set the tone for a neat and enjoyable family entertainer.
