I can only suggest as this person is my online friend. Its for Manorama to decide on this. If Rajiv Ravi has confirmed then it might be above 4 hours, then he will have Manorama do this. The worst thing is Piracy which will hold them back
Hello Everyone, The director of Kammattipadam - Rajeev Ravi had mentioned in an interview about releasing the film on DVD, which will have more than 4 hours of the movie. However forcing the 4 hours of contents will reduce the quality of the video. Therefore, the option would be to split the movie to 2 DVDs. If you wish to get 4 hours of content without losing the quality, please email manoramamusic@mm.co.in and request them to release the movie in full length on 2 discs. Thanks

We shall definitely consider this while releasing the same Regards Jenin Job Executive - Services From: Rajiv Nedungadi <xyz@xyz.com> To: <manoramamusic@mm.co.in> Date: 22-06-2016 06:38 Subject: Kammattipadam DVD / Blu Ray Hello, My name is Rajiv Nedungadi. I have been buying Manorama Music, Audio CDs and DVDs / Blu Rays since a long time now. I understand that as per director Rajeev Ravi – the movie Kammattipadam is going to be released with a full duration of more than 4 hours. I had a word with Irshad from Live Studios who authors the DVDs and Blu Rays for Manorama. As per him, if 4+ hours of video is added to a DVD, the quality of the same would be reduced. This would end up in a negative feedback and response from the buyers. I have been a part of many movie forums and understand that people are eagerly waiting for the DVD release with 4 hours of the film. To continue the complete movie with 4 hours of video, it would be good if you could provide the movie on 2 DVDs instead of one. This way, the quality and the quantity would be good. For this movie, I am sure that people would not mind paying Rs.200/- for a 2 DVD set. Kindly consider 4 hours of contents on 2 DVDs at a higher price. Thank You Rajiv Nedungadi.
