Independent Day : Resurgence Review - Offers nothing other than visual grandeur ! 27/06/2016 PVR Lulu,2:30pm 50% Independence Day 2 is much like it's predecessor,alien invasion presented in a visually stunning but terribly cliche'd narrative.The film has nothing much to offer other than its technical perfection,But even those brilliantly executed vfx scenes can't save this movie from being a disappointment.Performances are okay,none of the actors have a substantial role - performances are not really an integral part in this one - it's all about the amazing vfx & cgi works,actors are just placed to put forward those sequences. Technically,as said earlier - it's stunning,but the lack of a solid story spoiled the fun,the 90's style screenplay & making is annoying,the director has nothing new to offer,it's just the sameold stuff - the done to death formula presented in a much stylish & slick format.If you really want to see a visual grandeur with nothing new in its making or story,go for this one as it might give you 2 hours of popcorn entertainment. Overall,This one is a Disappoinment ! Verdict : Average ! Rating : 5/10
