“I am a diehard Shah Rukh Khan, even since singing Kuch Kuch Hota Hai made a girl smile at me (though I later realised she was actually laughing at my bad singing, but what the heck…I got a response from her!). I was angry with Yashraj for making FAN with some fictional character called Gaurav, when they could have just made my biopic. I has sent so many emails to those stubborn studio execs, but none of them got replied…I think they blocked me…can they do that?

Anyways I was also pissed off with them that they dared to release Sultan along with Raees, and was more angry that Raees got postponed as a result. My stupid friends, who are Salman fans, BTW, kept on teasing me by saying ‘Shah Rukh darr gaya…Shah Rukh darr gaya…’

I was super angry. I wanted to get back at them. I went to thousand shrines to pray that Sultan turns out to be a bad film and flop big time.

My God never does me wrong, so I was sure my prayers would be answered. I wanted to watch the film FDFS to know how the bad the film has turned out to be.

So I came inside the theatre with enough confidence, thanks to the 5 Axe deos I sprayed on myself!



When the film started, I was like ‘Bring it on, dude!’



When Salman made his entry as Sultan in the akhada, the entire theatre erupted! But I was like ‘Meh’!



What’s there to whistle and clap about? Haven’t we seen the same in the trailer as well? Ismein itna naya kya hai? I wanted to ask to those idiots who cheered!

Anyways, the film continued and I was glad to see a defeated looking, paunch-bearing Salman! Ha, where are those famed 6-packs?





There was one scene I really liked when Bhai praised Shah Rukh saab in the film, and said no one can romance like him! I was so blushing…I just hope no one noticed me!



My fave scene, however, was when Anushka slapped Salman! Boy, I just so wanted to kiss her right there and then!



Little did I know that would be the last scene I would cheer! As Salman got into the akhada and the film got better, my mental state got worse!



I so wanted to boo Salman when he showed us that paunch…but his surprisingly terrific acting in that scene SHOCKED me!



Then those darned training sequences happened, and I was worried to see Salman train so hard and looking so good!



Whenever those darned Salman fans began to clap and cheer for Sultan in the MMA matches, I was like…



By the time, the film ended…everyone around me was so happy, but I was like…



The film was good not great…but yeah, it was better than FAN…And I am going to lose my sleep over this!



Wait..What? You want to know my real opinion about the film? Take that, you dumb f$#@!

 

Sultan was excellent again on day three with business of 31.50 crore nett apprx as per early estimates which has taken its three day weekend business to around the 105 crore nett which is an all time record for Hindi cinema. The drop on day three is 15% which is excellent as its coming of a holiday period though in some parts the Eid factor is still helping collections and this will ease slowly over the weekend.



The film is still going up and down in the various circuits and it will be Monday that the circuits will come done to the more normal ratios. On day three Mumbai, Rajasthan and Nizam / andhra all held very well, Delhi / UP was phenomenal as it did better than the first day while East Punjab which smashed all records in the first two days had the biggest drop.



The third day has ensured the film is the biggest hit of the year although thats not really saying much when Airlift, the biggest hit of the year prior to Sultan only did well only in the main cities meaning its hardly competition for a real Hindi film like Sultan.



Its difficult to say where the collections will go today as there is no precedence in the recent past to how Eid has fallen and then the fourth day being a Saturday which is a day where some circuit shows healthy gains. But here its not the second day but fourth day which should makes gains harder.

Sultan has created a new ALL TIME RECORD for the first weekend by collecting over 105 crore nett apprx in three days. It beats the record of last years Eid release Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Below are the top ten opening three day weekends.

As a star its the opening records that matter, most important is opening day where Salman Khan holds the top two and that is followed by weekend where he now holds top three.
