Actress Ramya Krishnan, who is best known for playing Neelambari in Rajinikanth’s Padayappa, has reportedly bagged a role in the latter’s magnum opus 2.o, a sequel to 2010 blockbuster Enthiran.

Apparently, Ramya is the latest addition to the cast, according to a report by Indiaglitz, and although the news is yet to be confirmed by the production house, it has already gone viral. The makers have begun work on the latest schedule of 2.o in Chennai, and Ramya is said to have joined the sets.

With a busy year ahead, Ramya has just returned from the US after wrapping up the first schedule of Kamal Haasan’s Sabash Naidu, in which she plays his wife. If she is indeed part of Shankar’s 2.o, she might end up working on two projects simultaneously.

Earlier this year, she’s said to have completed her portion in Baahubali 2, the second installment in the franchise. Her role as Sivagami in S.S Rajamouli’s Baahubali could easily be termed as a life-changing moment in her illustrious career.

 

Looks like the stunning Ramya Krishna is on a roll. After bagging an important role in Kamal Haasan’s Shabash Naidu, she has bagged yet another biggie. Reports coming in from Chennai reveal that Ramya has been signed in for a key role in Shankar’s magnum opus Robot 2.0.

This news has raised a lot of curiosity and unit sources reveal that Shankar was quite keen to rope Ramya Krishna whom he had never worked with earlier. If one can remember, Ramya and Rajnikanth shared screen space in the blockbuster hit Padayappa.

Now, after a long gap their chemistry will once again be seen on the big screen after ages. Shooting of this film is currently on a break and will kick start once Rajni is back from the US.

Maverick director Shankar is one of the most admired filmmakers in India who is often lauded for his extravagent filmmaking. It is already known that Shankar is currently in the process of making India’s biggest film Robot 2.0.

It is also known that 2.0 stars Akshay Kumar as the antagonist. Recently in an interview with a noted newspaper, Akshay Kumar was all praises about Shankar. He said, “Shankar is not a director but he is a scientist. The way he is making Robot 2.0 is just amazing”

Meanwhile, 2.0 is currently progressing briskly in Chennai. Along with Rajinikanth, the film also stars Amy Jackson. Lyca Productions are bankrolling the big budget entertainer.

 

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is currently in Chennai to shoot portions Shankar's Enthiran 2. The science-fiction thriller is hugely awaited as the film will see two of the biggest stars in Indian cinema, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, sharing screen space for the first time.

In an interview to Tamil Media, the Bollywood Khiladi revealed that he has been a fanboy of Rajinikanth for a long time, and now he's getting the golden opportunity to work with the Tamil megastar. He also added that he can't upto Rajinikanth's dialogue delivery.

"There is a saying that cinema is magic and actors are magicians. For me, Rajinikanth sir is a real magician. From what I have observed on the sets ofEnthiran 2, he has his own way of delivering dialogues - which I can't even think of doing myself!"

 

Here’s the much awaited news for all Shankar-Rajinikanth fans. The first look poster of the maverick duo’s ongoing visual wonder, 2.0, will be unveiled in November. Incidentally, the makers announced this news on the occassion of Shankar’s birthday today.

Going by the words of Raju Mahalingam, the producer of 2.0, the first look may feature both Rajinikanth and the film’s antagonist Akshay Kumar. 2.0 is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited project as it is a sequel to Shankar-Rajini’s Robo.

Amy Jackson is the film’s leading lady and AR Rahman is the music composer. 2.0 is slated to hit the screens in mid 2017.

 

Final and the longest Schedule kicks off next month.
