    No much has been revealed about Manju Warrier's role in 'Jo and the Boy', The actress plays a very unique character in the movie. Her character is named Joyal Mary John aka Jo. She is a computer tutor at a school.

    Jo is very immature for her age. She has this childhood fantasy which she hopes to fulfill one day. In her journey, she meets a boy named Chris played by Sanoop. He is more mature than his age. Their life is pictured in the narrative. Directed by Rojin Thomas, the character was a eye opener for Manju who was feeling sick of doing the 'unhappy wife' roles.
