29/07/2016 Q Cinemas,12:40pm 60% Kismath is a good one time watch though it didn't meet my expectations,a simple story narrated in a realistic manner, nothing more, nothing less.Performances are indeedy the backobe of this film, everyone did a subtle & realistic act.Shane is good,he do excels in some of the emotional sequences.Sruthi is good eventhough she has problem with her dubbing, her performance in the finalportions were really impressive.Vinay Fort is superb, looked perfect for this role,he is well built & did a commendable job.Others were fine, best part is that every actor appeared on the screen did an impressive job. 1st half was ok,there was lagging in between.Vinay Fort's scenes were the saving grace in the former half, some of his one-liners did evoke laughs.Towards the end of 1st half, the film gained momentum.2nd half in total was good, eventhough it has shades of Annayum Rasoolum, especially in the climax portions,it was well shot, kisa pathayil song was rightly placed. Technically,Dop is good, had that raw feel which suited the narrative.Editing is okay, duration is just about 102 minutes which was a great relief.Music is good, all the 3 songs were catchy, kisa pathayil is ofcourse the pick of the lot.Bgm is fine.Shanavas did a good job in his debut venture,he has inherited some of the qualities from Rajeev Ravi, keeping the complete environment of the movie in a realistic note was impressive, the movie has cliche's & shades of some other flicks, but altogether, this is a fine one time watch. Overall,Kismath is a watchable flick ! +ves Vinay Shane & Sruthi Supporting Cast Direction Music & Bgm Dop -ves lagging in former half shades of annayum rasoolum - especially climax Verdict : Watchable ! Rating : 6.5/10 B.O Verdict : May end up as a profitable venture
