Theatre: Calicut coronation Show time : 9 pm Status: Balcony - full First class- Around 40-50 percent Plot: This simple story takes us to the lives of four individuals 1.A college student who is shown to be a very brilliant youth who can even challenge his professor but falls in love and that love changes his life. 2. A school going girl who makes frienship with a small kid from the slum. 3. A house wife (Gauthami) who tries to save money from each and every act she does but ends up in a mess always and is always accompanied by urvashi. 4. A simple middle class man, a store assistant manager who needs money to support his family. REVIEW: Its been almost a year since i saw mohanlal on big screen the last one being loham (I did not watch kanal). The movie started on showing us the daily life of the four induviduals later on moving deeper into the lives of the four. The first Half : The first half has nothing entertaining nor engaging to offer. The romance is a bit irking and really tests your tolerance level.Mohanlal has limited screen presence in the first half and most parts in the first half is dominated by the small girl whose story was a bit exaggerated and not that easy to digest for all.watching Gauthami and urvashi perform was always a pleasant experience in this movie. Urvashi still maintains her comic timing and does make us laugh . Gauthami looked innocent cute and beautiful even at this age. Most of the scenes in the first half should not satisfy you and yes my opinion was supported by a number of boo's from the balcony. Spoiler Mohanlal who tells the manager about what gandhiji told about customers could have been avoided. Who ever directs or writes the script but a super star presence is always unavoidable . I rate 1/5 for the first half The Second Half : The telgu audience would have known why the director chose the complete actor for this role. A complete complex mixture of emotions from mohanlal always admires the malayali audience. The way he performs was no different from his usual style so i dont know if the telgu audience would accept that but yes i just loved his performance even though we have had much beyond this.The little girl arguing with the ministers son, police was a hindrance to the realistic nature of the movie. The last 30 minutes of the movie glued me to my seat...and yes it was thrilling. Simple climax loved by all. Very very effective climax linking all the parts of the chain to form a solid ending and it was gauthami who scored in the climax scenes. I rate 4/5 for the second half. A few negatives: Romantic scenes... Oh god that was too irritating each and every scene the boy and the girl comes on screen you can just hear boo's all over. Costumes of mohanlal could have been better... hair style and facial hair if a bit grey should have looked original. Mohanlal should have been given more screen space or i would say a space to perform Over all: 5/10 The movie should disappoint you if you watch it with much expectations. An unexpected watch should satisfy your appetite to watch a good movie. Its one of the rare movies where mohanlal the super star is just an actor an ordinary man...sai ram through out the movie. BOX OFFICE: From the Audience reaction and it being a dubbed movie should fetch less than 5 crores from kerala box office.
