Prithviraj seeks revenge again in his next

Prithviraj seems to have a penchant for playing a Brahmin seeking vengeance. After Puthiya Mukham and Robin Hood, the actor will once again be seen essaying such a role in the upcoming Jeethu Joseph movie, Oozham.

"Prithviraj plays Surya Krishnamoorthy, who works in a US-based company. He's single and his family comprises his father, mother and sister who are all settled in Coimbatore," says the filmmaker. "Certain events that happen in his life take the movie forward."
Jeethu, who has also wrapped up the post-production of the movie, tells us that most of the story happens in Chennai and Coimbatore. "So, there is a tinge of Tamil culture in the movie and we also have Tamil artistes such as V Jayaprakash and Pasupathy," he says. The film also has Neeraj Madhav, Rasna Pavithran, Divya Pillai and Balachandra Menon in pivotal roles.

The movie though has been almost a decade in the making. "I had actually narrated three stories to Prithviraj in 2007 — Mummy and Me, Memories and Oozham," Jeethu says. "The character in Mummy and Me didn't suit him, so we did Memories first because I had the entire script ready. As that movie was also a thriller, we kept Oozham for later. Once I was done with Drishyam, we decided to go ahead with this."

He though is quick to add that Oozham is a not a thriller per se. "The suspense would be out within the first 10 minutes, so billing it as a thriller would be unfair. It's more a revenge drama and has an action mood to it," the filmmaker explains.
As for working with the actor again, Jeethu says, "He's a family friend. So, we share a great rapport on and off the sets."
