The Flying Jatt had an average start and places and was low at other places. It has opened on around 2000 screens with the count to go higher tomorrow as a Thursday release means other films still holiding out with screens until the end of the week. The early release is because of Janmashtami which is a holiday in parts of the country which will help collections but only in some parts of the country. The opening of the film is lower than Baaghi despite it being a partial holiday. The film has more potential for the North audience due it being a Punjab based film but the probelem here is that Tiger Shroff has not been able to make a mark in Delhi or Punjab with his earlier films as he has done in a Maharashtra or CP Berar which makes a difference to the initial of the film.






Tiger Shroff has a good following in parts of Central and West India but here its a North film which holds less appeal in these parts. So basically the film is held back the hero where the film can work best while where the the hero works the content is not the type they take to. It has an extended four day weekend and will be dependent on the kids and family audience which does not really come initially and normally they form the Saturday and Sunday audience so it will be down to reports for that audience to turn up.



Rustom and Happy Bhaag Jayegi got benefit of the holiday yesterday as collections of both films increased in the evening shows as it was a holiday on the next day..

The Flying Jatt had a low opening day of around 6.75 crore nett despite it being a partial holiday for Janmashtami. The holiday does not seem to have aided the film much although only the collections of day two will tell. The other two main films playing Rustom and Happy Bhaag Jayegi did see minor jumps in collections on Thursday but they were collecting at lower levels. The film did manage to build up some expectations as the last film of Tiger Shroff had opened very well at around 12 crore nett and also did well in the long run which made The Flying Jatt a hotter film than it would have been before the release of Baaghi. The collections were low all over with even North India not really performing.






Tiger Shroff has a better initial pull in West and Central India as per the results of his first two films while North is comparatively weaker so this could be the reason why the collections are so low in Delhi and Punjab despite it being a Sardar film. The area should be out performing even if the film is not up to the mark like a Singh Is Bling. This is not the case for The Flying Jatt. The film has an extended weekend and its chances rest on the family audience over the weekend, it basically has to improve its collection either today or Saturday and get to that 30 crore nett mark over four days. The second day will be crucial for the film and a drop from these levels will leave it with little chance.
