‘Saara Zamaana’ Once Again It seems producer Rakesh Roshan is very impressed with director Sanjay Gupta and his technique of shooting films. Roshan was recently heard talking about the director’s technical knowledge and how quick he is when it comes to shooting, with all the prep being done earlier. Gupta has wrapped a chunk of the film Kaabil. We now hear that he wants to recreate the song Saara zamana, composed by Rajesh Roshan in Yaarana, directed by Rakesh Kumar. It will be a dance number that will feature a special appearance. Casting for the song is still on and we hear it was Gupta’s idea is to bring back that era and re-live it through the song. When he shared it with the Roshans, they happily agreed to do it.
Roshan Sr sticks to his date There was some talk about how after Mohenjo Daro’s dismal performance at the box office, Rakesh Roshan would delay the release of Kaabil starring Hrithik Roshan. Especially, because Raees producer Ritesh Sidhwani met Roshan Sr several times to convince him not to clash with his release. Says a source, “Co-producer Shah Rukh Khan is in Prague shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s next, Ritesh has been trying his best to persuade Roshan Sr and has met him a few times, but the filmmaker is not budging from his date as his deals have been locked and his tie-ups are in place. The clash, it seems, is unavoidable.” Raees, directed by Rahul Dholakia, stars Shah Rukh Khan while Kaabil, directed by Sanjay Gupta stars Hrithik.
Hrithik Roshan’s blind stunt for Kaabil For the past two weeks, Hrithik has been completely consumed by the climatic scene of Kaabil. However, this was a climax like no other; since Hrithik is playing a blind man in Kaabil. The stunts had to be designed accordingly, and yet be spectacularly heroic. Apparently, the action for the character is based on his heightened ability of hearing, to compensate for the lack of his visual power. Hrithik says, “It was absolutely crazy action. I enjoyed myself so much. The blind have such sharpened sensory perceptions. I had to fight like any visually impaired person and not like Hrithik Roshan.”

Kaabil to not clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees? In the tussle between Raees and Kaabil, it looks like the latter will blink first. Not too long after the makers of Raees had announced earlier this year that they intended to release the movie on January 26, 2017, the makers of Kaabil too had announced their arrival by launching the first look of their film. It now looks like Rakesh Roshan is in two minds about releasing Kaabil against Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees. It was learned that in order to avoid any ill will, SRK had apparently met Hrithik to discuss if Kaabil’s release date could be shifted to make way for Raees. However, Hrithik informed him that it was his father Rakesh, and director, Sanjay Gupta’s call. Later, SRK called Rakesh with the same request, but the filmmaker flat out refused to shift the release date, as it had already been announced much earlier. Latest we hear now is that after the debacle of Hrithik’s last outing, Mohenjo Daro, which clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Rustom last month, Rakesh is reconsidering a spar with Raees. A source close to the producer confirmed the news and said, “Rakesh is planning to shift the release date of Kaabil now.” However, when contacted, Sanjay denied the news and said, “Absolutely no change whatsoever. Kaabil releases on January 26, 2017.”
