American Psycho Based on the book with same name. One of my all time favorite movies. 'Batman' Christian Bale plays the lead...and this was his first big break. Movie was turned down by Leaonardo Dicaprio for doing the movie 'The beach'...a decision which is made fun of routinely. The movie is a psycho-thriller and you will be left scratching your head after the movie. Its about a serial killer and how he hides from the public. The character Patric Bateman became iconic and the movie has a very strong cult following...something akin to the Fight Club. Watch it and be amazed. Just be sure to watch the non-censored version.
12 Angry Men (1957) One of the all time classics. The movie 'Melvilasam' was inspired from this. For its entire duration of 1 hr 36 min, the movie never steps out of a room. Just 12 men talking about a case and its verdict. The movie makes us think about truth and lies....and shows that not everything is so obvious as it seems. One of the greatest movies ever made.
25th Hour(2002) Again a masterpiece. Edward Norton shows us why he is one of the best actors in hollywood. Movie is about a drug dealer and his last 24 hours of freedom before he goes to jail for 7 years. The climax is heart wrenching...and you are left thinking...what if...maybe...
Amelie(2001) If ever there was a feel-good movie...then this is it. Amelie is a French classic played by the ever beautiful Audrey Toutou. Everything about this movie is so heart warming...the contrast...the cinematography..the characters...and you will fall in love with Amelie after the movie. Perfect to watch if you are feeling down.
