Oppam Box Office: 25 Days Kerala Collections By: Akhila Menon Updated: Monday, October 3, 2016, 15:51 [IST] Oppam, the biggest hit of the year is stepping into the 5th week of its release. The Mohanlal starrer, which is written and directed by Priyadarshan, has already emerged as the biggest hit of 2015. Oppam (U): Book Your Tickets Right Away! When it completed the first 25 days of its release, Oppam has made a gross collection of 32.31 Crores from the box office. The movie has collected 1.91 Crores from the 24th and 25th days of its release. The movie has crossed 30-Crore mark within the first 23 days of its release, thus breaking the record of Nivin Pauly's Premam. Oppam has also surpassed the lifetime collections of Twenty 20 within the first 21 days. Earlier, the movie has also broken the record of Premam, by becoming the fastest Malayalam film to pass the 10-Crore and 20-Crore marks. Oppam is currently the 6th highest grosser of Mollywood. Interestingly, the movie has surpassed the lifetime collection of Jacobinte Swargarajyam, thus becoming the highest grosser of the year. Oppam needs to make 12 Crores more, to exceed the Kerala collections of Drishyam. Reportedly, director Priyadarshan is planning to remake the movie in Tamil and Hindi. Kamal Haasan is likely to star in the Tamil remake, while Akshay Kumar has been approached for the Hindi version.

Oppam movie becomes the blockbuster hit of the year in Malayalam cinema and the movie turned out to be a record breaker film. It is the highest grosser film of 2016 which broke many records at box office. Oppam becomes the most appreciable movie of the year which hit the theatres to bang the box office with decent collection. This movie has won many hearts and entertain the audience in large numbers. It receives positive word of mouth and good response from the audience. The movie is ready to cross the Rs. 30 crore mark at the box office.



There are some reasons behind the big success of Oppam movie which helps the film to reach this point. It becomes the fastest film of Malayalam Industry to cross the 10 cr mark in six days at box office. Oppam movie sets new records at Kerala box office and impressed audience with its story line and direction. One of the biggest plus point of the movie is that the film featured Mohanlal as the main lead role. He played the character of a blind man and has given a convincing performance as a blind. Samuthirakani, Anusree, Vimala Raman, Nedumudi Venu, and Baby Meenakshi are also in the main roles in the movie. They all did great work with their characters.

Oppam is directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Antony Perumbavoor for Aashirvad Cinemas. Priyadarshan has made this movie a perfect thriller. The movie has been declared as the winner of the season. The movie also breaks the records of Nivin Pauly’s ‘Premam’ at the box office. The cinematography of the movie is done by N. K. Ekambaram. The movie is still moving well at the box office.

The movie was released September 8, 2016 on many big screens with high expectations. It also becomes the highest grosser of first weekend as it got the four days benefit in its 1s weekend of release. The movie completed its 24 days and today is the 25th day of the movie at box office. Director Priyadarshan is back with this Mohanlal starrer.
