The film ‘M.S. Dhoni – The Untold Story’ is having a solid run across India and the same is the case for the Telugu version of the film. The movie has garnered a positive word of mouth from Day 1 and this has translated into a solid run for the Telugu version, along with the Hindi version.



The film released with one screen in RTC cross roads but the number is now being increased. The situation is the same in B and C centers as well. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film has Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead role.

Fox Star India has produced the film in association with Inspired Films.

 

M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story is find it tough going on the weekdays with another noticeable drop on Tuesday. The film looked set to be a huge hit with its weekend collections but since Monday the collections are coming down fast. It should scrape through to HIT status due to a weak line up of releases. After the weekend it looked set to be close to 100 crore nett in seven days but now the way it is going it may not even reach there in 10 days. The collections in the North are now actually down to poor levels which will make it tough in the North in week two and that will tell in all India collections as Mumbai comes down in week two anyway compared to circuits in North and Central India. The weekend business of M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story is as follows

The first week of the film will be around 84-85 crore nett but the film really has to settle at some point either today or tomorrow where the drop is minimal as Friday will see a drop as there will be Mirziya and a copule of other films fighting for screen space.

M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story fell heavily on day eight with collections in the 3.25-3.50 crore nett range. The drop is over 80% from day one and the film has also fallen around 25-30% from Thursday. This is with the washout collections of Mirziya and other releases but if they had collected better as it should have then the drop for M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story could have been more. Still despite the drop it it still has the best collections compared to the new releases and 3.35 crore nett for day eight is not great but not bad either. The only problem is how fast the collections have come down which makes it a moderate success rather than a major one which it looked after three days. The collections of M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story till date are as follows

Day Eight - 3,25,00,000 apprx



TOTAL - 88,00,00,000



There are holidays this week for Dusshera and Muharram on Tuesday and Wednesday which should help the film to a 20 crore nett plus second week. Then there are two weeks till Diwali which have no major releases so the film should hang around and could finish with a final total in the 110-115 crore nett range.

 

The biopic based on the life of Indian captain M S Dhoni is doing supremely well at the box office. Latest update reveals that the film has collected a total of 94 crores till date and is still going strong.



The above said collections comprise of both the Telugu and Tamil versions as well. There was a huge buzz for this film and as expected the real life saga hit the right note at the box office.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, this film is all set to touch the 100 crore mark next week.
