Official: Heroine and other cast and crew details of 'Imaikka Nodigal'


‘Imaikka Nodigal’ produced by C.J.Jeyakumar under the Cameo films banner and directed by R.Ajay Gnanamuthu of ‘Demonte Colony’ fame is shaping up as a big budget film with the inclusion of all major names in the respective departments in its cast and crew list.

The makers have just finalized the lead heroine of the flick which will have Atharvaa as the male lead and Nayanthara is an equally important character.

"We are consciously building the brand value of the project. The script is the roof of this project and the pillars that carry the script are Atharva the happening actor, Ajay Gnanamuthu the Director, R D Rajasekar the cinematographer, HipHop Tamizha the music Director and to top it all the Amazing screen presence of Nayanthara that is a major boost in this film, which we are determined to make big with cast, crew and promotions. Nayanthara’s arrival has given this project a huge momentum. This script has the dimension of a Hollywood scripting style, where alternative tracks showcase the strength of the respective artiste that will form the fulcrum of the movie. We were looking for a fresh face that could be paired opposite Atharva and our search ended when we met Raashi Khanna, and happening actress in Tollywood. She will add more colour to this project.”

The project is all set to get bigger with the inclusion of a pan-Indian actor as announced by the crew when the film was launched a few months ago.

“We are in discussion with one of the top names in the country to play the antagonist of this film, I’m sure it will give this film a pan Indian look. With R D RajaSekar as cinematographer, HipHop Tamizha as music director, Bhuvan Srinivasan as editor, Selvakumar as Art Director and Stunt choreographer Dilip Subbarayan, we are assured of an excellence in the technical side too. The shooting is all set to commence by mid-October and we are glad that the film has raised curiosity even before we could commence officially. The audience can be rest assured with a presentation that will not let them wink their eyes even for a second" declared Producer C J Jayakumar with confidence.

 

While initial talks first suggested that director Gautham Menon would be seen as the baddie in Ajay Gnanamuthu’s second film Imaikaa Nodigal, the director himself has now brushed away the news saying that the team has approached director Anurag Kashyap for the role.

Anurag who has heard the script, is yet to give his nod to the team.

Imaikaa Nodigal is said to be a mystery thriller made on a big budget by Cameo Films, who are bankrolling the project. The film stars Atharvaa, Nayanthara and Raashi Kanna in the main cast.
