PINK Very few movies make you feel the actual feelings of the characters. Very few movies can actually come out of the screen and make you feel ashamed and angry and sad and furious and depressed and happy for the characters. PINK is not just any other 'message giving' movie...it is a revolution. It is a rebellion. It is intense with not a single light hearted moment. This is the bollywood I want to see. The movie is a mirror to our society and how we, as men, have so much of moral policing burning inside us. The making is so crisp and to the point and the director makes no compromises. If you have seen Mystic River, this movie is along those lines...a clint eastwoodish making. Intensity and darkness from the go. The movie is extremely relevant in North India and the NCR region where guys think its their birthright to abuse and molest women and get away doing that daily. Not thats its any less relevant in the rest of the country. Want to know why Mr.Bachan is still one of the greatest actors in the country? (and in the world..yes...i mean it)..watch this movie. The intensity in his eyes is just...unbelievable. Tapsee Pannu is a revelation. I was thinking of her as just another telugu heroine who exists for skin shows and foreign shot songs in usual useless Telugu movies. But no....she is just mind blowing and her performance will win her many awards. Another performance is from Kirti Kulhari....who is she? I mean...how can an unknown actress perform like this? Her single scene in the court will put every other leading lady in Indian cinema to shame. Absolutely mindblowing. Salute to the director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury for making one of the best movies in recent times. If you havent watched it...please do watch it. PS: I feel this movie can be remade in malayalam with some changes..or the basic idea of the movie can be restored and a movie can be built on that....and would love to see Mammookka reprising Bachan's role. Mammookka is the only other actor I can see in this role other than Bachan himself. (10/10)
