Janatha Garage Watched telugu version with subtitles. I will start by saying I have never been a fan of the telugu industry and the kind of movies they make. Infact, I have felt repulsed by some of the movies of top telugu stars. First NTR movie I am watching...and.....I liked it. Even though it does not carry much logic, that is acceptable in a telugu mass masala movie. This movie is far better than most of the telugu movies that I have watched. NTR surprised me..he is a good actor with excellent screen presence. ( Oru senti scene'l kolamakki..ennalum potte) One thing I noticed is that the guy looks extremely confident on screen and it reflects in his acting...the way he stands, walks, talks,smiles..he is a very self confident person. His performance is calm and composed and does not come at your face..no perverted comedy scenes and no comedy using heroine body parts...a rarity in telugu movies. Lalettan. Before watching I heard most of the fans comparing Jilla and JG and saying he was wasted in Jilla and neason should learn from koratala siva. Well...his role in this is almost the same as that in Jilla...if not the exact role...but the director has clinically spread his role throughout the movie here so you wont feel that NTR is dominating...where infact he is..same as Vijay in jilla. I dont know why...but I felt that Lalettan looked a bit uncomfortable in his performance..not the usual Mohanlal we see in malayalam. Maybe the language thing..but his stands and movements looked constricted and there was no flow. I am noone to judge his acting...but 30 varshamayi lalettane kaanunna oru malayalai enna nilayil ithile lalettan looks uncomfortable. Heroines okke chumma. Especially nitya menon...2 heroine undenn kanikkan maatram. Unniyettan enthinaanavo ithu cheythe...money matters alle. The good thing is that the movie establishes NTR and Mohanlal's characters well. Also, no foreign songs with heroine in saree. Item song undayirunnenkilum...athu kajal ayondu kollam. NTR also dances superbly. All in all...its not a bad movie... NTR is a good performer and the first half is especilly well showcased...for a telugu movie. Songs are good..especially pranamam song and jai ho janatha. Movie'l 'ayye' ennu parayippikkunna rangangal onnum illa. Good!!

Sadarana feel good movies ellam angane ishtamavarilla..pakshe ithu serikem engage cheyichu... My rating - 4/5.. Superb.. Deserved a better run in theatres..
