    EXCLUSIVE - Randamoozham Movie Director V A Shrikumar Responds On Rumours About The Movie

    Ever since Mohanlal revealed the status of his much anticipated project Randamoozham, social media has been flooded with speculations regarding the project. The movie which is based on MT Vasudevan Nair's book Randamoozham, is a re-interpretation of Mahabharata from the perspective of Bheema. In the movie, Mohanlal will play the role of Bheema and many Bollywood and Kollywood actors are also rumoured to be part of the movie, to play the other major roles. To know the authenticity of these reports, we contacted the movie's director V A Shrikumar Menon. Here's what the ad filmmaker-turned director has to say -

    What is the status of Randamoozham?
    If all goes well, Randamoozham will probably go on floors in 2018. As you know it is a mega budget project, it will take long time to complete the pre-production work. Our team is currently busy working on the project and once everything is in place, we will be giving an official announcement on the film.

    Bollywood and Kollywood actors such as Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Manju Warrier and many others are rumoured to be a part of the movie?
    As I said before, our movie is on the pre-production stage and now it is too early to say anything about the cast and crew. All that I can confirm for now is the movie's script is by MT Vasudevan, Mohanlal will play the lead role and I will be directing the project, which will made on a mega budget. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised. We will make it official once we are done with the casting.

    After Bahubali, historical projects are in demand, but was not in Malayalam. Surety of success and at least being break even was a dream. Nobody was ever dared to invest also. After Pulimurugan also there is not much confidence with producers. The only name The Complete Superstar that brings confidence and courage again comes to play the main lead and expectations are going sky high.
