Finally, the writer of Jomonte Suvisheshangal, Iqbal Kuttipuram responded to the accusations. The writer accepted that the basic plot of the movie is same but it is not a copy of Jacobinte Swargarajyam. “When Jacobinte Swargarajyam was released, I had already completed the script of Jomonte Suvisheshangal. Just few days before the shooting of our movie, Jacobinte Swargarajyam was released. When it hit the theatres, I had event met Vineeth Sreenivasan who is a good friend of mine. When we discussed about the similarity in the basic plot of the movie, it was Vineeth who encouraged us to proceed with the movie,” said Iqbal Kuttipuram in a recent interview.
