Vodafone 4G plan details: Upgrades all 3G plans to 4G for the Kerala circle Vodafone unveiled its 4G LTE services in Kochi city last week, and has commercially launched the service for consumers. Today, Vodafone took warps off its 4G plans for the Kerala circle. At the time of the launch, Vodafone had revealed only the Rs 29 120MB pack and a bonanza pack of 20GB at Rs 2499. Now, Vodafone has now announced that all current 3G packs have been upgraded to 4G without any need to buy a separate pack for 4G services. To use Vodafone 4G, customers have to get a 4G SIM card from the company. They would also need a mobile phone that supports the 1800 MHz LTE band. Vodafone is also offering free 4G SIM upgrade to all its existing customers without any additional documentation or charges. Customers can order 4G SIMs by calling the call centre or sending an SMS (4G SIM to 199) from a 4G-enabled phone. Vodafone claims that its 4G service offers up to ten times faster speeds than the current 3G speed. As per Vodafone FAQ page, customers can expect 4G speed in a range of 10 Mbps to 30 Mbps. Vodafone will shortly launch new high-speed 4G capable devices like dongles / MiFi devices that support 4G, and will soon expand its 4G service to other selected cities.
