Date : 24/02/2017 Theater : Q Cinemas Time : 9:50am Status : 50% Simple and Inspiring,Aby is a pretty nice cinema that makes you feel good.There is nothing exemplary to boast off,still this one manages to grab your attention with its utmost sincerity and noble intentions.The performances were superb with each and every actor being at their best.Vineeth Sreenivasan in the title role comes up with one of his finest performance,he gets into the skin of the character and delivers a flawless act.Aby is doubtlessly a challenging role which could fall on either sides,but Vineeth handles the character impressively making it a to-notch performance.The supporting cast were also good.Suraj Venjaramoodu,Aju Vargheese,Sudheer Karamana,Maneesh Choudhary,Mareen Michael were all good playing prominent roles. On the technical grounds,Aby is a neatly packaged cinema.Dop is good,some of the scenes were taken superbly,especially the climax sequences.Editing is fine.Songs were not much impressive,it seems okay with the visuals,still there is not even one song worth remembering.Bgm is good and the tunes used towards the last were superb,it was successful in bringing the right amount of feel to those sequences.First half is good with some nicely worked out comedies,there are few scenes which would root with tears in your eyes.Second half started on a dry note,the proceedings were a bit sluggish which was contrary to the mood carried by the film in the former half.Halfway though,the film gains momentum and ends on a high note.The climax is neatly structures,there is a slight overdose of cinematic elements,still it was finely concluded. Srikanth Murali is his debut venture did an impressive job.He made a simple cineme which engages and absorbs you.The realistic environment,the raw characters and the lively situations added a certain charm to the movie.Still there are few filmy and cliche'd sequences which makes you feel bored.There are also some of the template scenes that you would expect from a movie of this genre.Apart from these minor drawbacks,this one is a decent flick.On the whole,this one is definitely not a top-class cinema,this one is a simple cinema that makes you warm and brings a smile into your face. Overall,Aby is Good ! Verdict : Good ! Rating : 7/10 B.O Verdict : Hit
