Date : 31/01/2017 Theater: Q Cinemas Time : 1:10pm Status : 30% Naam Shabana is an average cinema at best. The outdated narrative pattern along with a lame screenplay made this cinema confine to an ordinary level.Performances were really good and was indeed the saving grace of this movie.Tapsee delivers an impressive performance as the title character, her fineness in doing action sequences is really appreciable.Manoj Bajpayee was superb in a prominent role.Akshay Kumar yet again comes up with a neat and subtle performance. Finally, coming to the performer who easily dominates the whole cinema whenever he appears onscreen - Prithvi as Tony was a treat to watch.Being his ardent fan, watching that subtle transformation followed by a superb action sequence brought a large amount of goosebumps.Prithvi's intense and fabulous performance as Tony made him the showstealer, each nuance and gesture of him perfectly suited the role of a power packed antagonist. Technically,Naam Shabana is an okay product.None of the aspects were worth mentioning except for some fine shots.Shivam Nair as the director couldn't make this a gripping cinema. His making had many hiccups which affected the flow of the movie to a certain extent.Even though touted to be a prequel to the 2015 Blockbuster Baby, this one lacks the fizz and momentum which Baby had.On the whole,Naam Shabana has some good moments for sure, this may turn out to be a passable flick if you keep your expectations low. Overall,Naam Shabana is Average ! 5/10
