The Void(2017) A cop picks up an injured guy near a deserted road and takes him to the nearby hospital. Soon some knife wielding cult members surround the hospital and there is something else inside the hospital. The Void is very much influenced by eighties horror. The creature design and effects are good. The first 30 minutes or so is a little clunky but one things after the movie is enjoyable. If you like a solid genre movie with some gore thrown in give The Void a try.
Mulholland Drive No wonder why this is considered among the best neo-noir mysteries ever made in world cinema. The superb blend of realism and surrealism backed by some stunning performances and a rooted narration makes this a top notch experience.Naomi Watts was simply astounding, her peerless portrayal of both the characters makes it one among her finest performances.Laura Harring was equally good delivering yet another quality performance.Supporting Cast were fine,Justin Theroux was the notable performer among them. Though I haven't seen any of David Lynch's other works, this one cinema is enough to stamp him as a fabulous filmmaker. The deep rooted narrative pattern which has multiple interpretations is indeed the prime factor of interest.Every single technical aspect were perfectly in sync with the proceedings, the frames and soundtracks were worth mentioning. To sum it up,Mulholland Drive is one among those cinemas which deserves a second watch for both its quality and for a better clarity. Overall,Mulholland Drive is Superb ! 8/10
Get Out Get Out is a smartly packaged cinema with enough amount of thrills. The pacy execution of a thought provoking theme supported by a bunch of earnest performances makes this an engaging ride.Daniel Kaluuya was good playing the lead with utmost conviction, his performance in the climax was really superb.Bradley Whitford,Catherine Keener,Caleb Landry and Lil Rel Howrey were good in prominent roles.Allison Williams as Rose was doubtlessly the performer who monopolized the entire cinema,Watch out for that subtle transformation scene from her. Jordan Peele as the debut director was successful in crafting a quality thriller. The absence of some regular cliches seen in a movie of this genre was indeed the best thing about this one.The fabulous technical support is another factor which resulted in this fine outcome, both the dop and the soundtracks were of great quality. Thanks to the makers for avoiding all sorts of visual gimmicks and thereby making it a smooth and engaging watch. On the whole,Get Out is an Impressive Cinema. Overall,Get Out is Engaging ! 7.5/10
The Autopsy of Jane Doe Dark and Alarming,The Autopsy of Jane Doe is a well crafted horror thriller. This one is indeed a sigh of relief from those template horror cinemas which aspires to be a spine chilling experience giving some usual scare jumps.Emile Hirsch and Brian Cox puts up impressive performances, both the actors were successful in portraying the fear and tension of the characters. There isn't much of a supporting cast except for 2-3 faces. Andre Ovredal as the director managed to make it an engaging experience.Though the hideous detailing was hard to watch at times,a well knitted plot supported by the pacy narration made it an interesting cinema. The shots even though confined to a single building was of great quality. The gruesome violence may be indigestible to some viewers,If you are ready to bear that, this may turn out to be an engaging watch. Overall,The Autopsy of Jane Doe is Engaging ! 7/10
Meet the Parents Meet the Parents is a superb comedy drama. The minute to minute comedies supported by some witty one-liners and crisp performances makes this a perfect entertainer.Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller comes up with competing performances, both the actors were fantastic.Their interesting combo is something to watch out for.Teri Polo and Blythe Danner are another striking performers. Jay Roach was successful in crafting a cinema which provides some quality entertainment. This one is simple and straight forward, but it gas got some great moments for sure. The soundtracks are another positive,it was extremely soothing. On the whole,Meet the Parents may not be great cinema, but watch this one for some real good entertainment. Overall,Meet the Parents is Entertaining ! 8/10
Meet the Fockers Meet the Fockers is a pretty decent entertainer.Even though this one didn't rise up to its predecessor,it is a faithful sequel in all means.Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller once again shines in their respective roles.Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand comes up with amusing performances.Teri Polo and Blythe Danner were fine. Jay Roach crafts this in a similar fashion to that of its precursor. The absence of a solid story is evident at some points, but the making was engaging enough to forget all such flaws. To sum it up,Meet the Fockers is not on par with Meet the Parents,Still this one entertains. Overall,Meet the Fockers is Decent ! 7/10

Little Fockers Little Fockers is a pleasing entertainer. This is indeed the weakest cinema among the trilogy, still there are enough moments to rejoice.Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller plays their part superbly.Owen Wilson has a good amount of screen space in this one and he utilized it smartly. The rest of the cast were fine. Even though Paul Weitz couldn't make this a perfect ending to the trilogy,he did a decent job.The plot is of course a wafer thin stuff, but the remarkable performances and an engaging narrative pattern saves this one from being a total dud.On the whole,Little Fockers is a passable flick. Overall,Little Fockers is Watchable ! 6/10 Meet the Parents > Meet the Fockers > Little Fockers
The Wailing (Korean) Labeling this just as a thriller would be a gross understatement,The Wailing is a superior mix of horror, mystery and emotional drama. The deep rooted narrative pattern along with the nuanced performances makes this a stunning piece of work. The performances were exceptional with every actor delivering top class act.Kwak Do-Won was however the most striking performer, his intense and deft portrayal of the lead character made it an outstanding performance. Kudos to Na Hong-jin for crafting such a terrific cinema. The subtle and restrained way of storytelling was indeed a treat to watch, the long and unwinding shots with those mild tunes playing in the background was just superb. The technical fineness helped in giving a quality feel to the cinema, each and every aspect were top-notch.The climax is going to leave you stunned,it was basically a nail-biting start with an emotionally haunting end.To sum it up,The Wailing is a relentless and gripping cinema. Overall,The Wailing is Excellent ! 9/10
