After a Week1 TN gross of 61 CR, #Baahubali2 looks set to hit the 80 CR gross mark by Sunday-end to be the alltime No.2 behind just Enthiran

 

Baahubali 2 is on a record shattering spree all over the world. In TN, the story is no different. Though the film couldn't set an opening day TN gross record, it has gone on to set a new Week 1 gross record by crossing Kabali (53 CR). The performance on the weekdays was rock-steady with very minimal dips. Here's a breakup of the first week (April 28 to May 4) TN gross of Baahubali 2.

Baahubali 2 doesn't have the entertainment tax exemption in TN due to its U/A certificate. Still, the net is already more than 50 CR and the film is well on its way to become the new Industry Hit in TN, beating Enthiran (2010).
By the end of the 2nd weekend, Baahubali 2 is expected to hit the 80 CR gross mark in TN, crossing the lifetime totals of biggies like Kabali, Theri and Vedalam. What a run and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon !!!

Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion grossed a huge 20 crore nett as per early estimates on its second Friday which is another record. The film has All TIME RECORDS now from day one to day eight and this looks set to continue for a long time. The total of the film is 265 crore apprx in eight days in Hindi. The previous day eight record was Dangal at 17.84 crore nett.



The film is phenomenal all over but in the Gujarat belt it is just crazy especially Saurashtra which is recording numbers which are just unbelievable. Some theatres in places like Rajkot, Junagadh, Bhuj have seen collections that are more than double of any release before. The film is breaking records in Gujarat by miles and this could take the film to a huge 150 crore nett in Mumbai circuit. It was only in January 2015 that PK went past the 100 crore nett mark in Mumbai and just two and a half years later this film is going towards 150 crore which will be almost 50% more. The collections of Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion in Hindi till date are as follows.

The film is now the fifth highest grosser as far as Hindi language films are concerned as it crosses Dhoom 3 (2013) in eight days. It will go past Sultan (2016) and Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) over the weekend and then by the end of the week it will cruise past PK (2014) and may even beat Dangal (2016).



The Hollywood release Guardians Of The Galaxy could not really stand up to Bahubali 2 and grossed around 2 crore nett apprx on its first day.
