    While we are talking about Japanese movies, try to watch Battle Royale.
    Its a wierd wierd movie with very gory scenes. A bunch of school kids are brought on a school trip to a place and is made to murder each other.

    The most important thing in padmarajan movies, especially NPMT and Thoovanathumbikal is the maturity the director quotes on the female leads. Thoovanathumbikalil he shows a prostitute in such a way that we feel respect towards the character with no cheap gimmicks to attract the audience. Athepole thanne Parvathy's character is equally mature and respectable.
    In NPMT, it shows the female lead as a girl chained to her home and abused by her step dad, still holds her head up.
    Ivide randilum what the hero feels for the heroine is not the filmy "love". Its more of a respect thing. Padmarajan was a legend in all sense.
