mt has only interpreted the things already mentioned in mahabharata taking away the supernatural angle...to borrow his own words, he has only filled up the silences left behind by vyasa(or the people who compiled it)...the events are the same...
Nope ..he made his own version of mahabharatha, sidelining the good parts and highlighting what is left..
it is his version...nobody denied that...thats what i meant by "interpretation'.....but the point is that he is only interpreting what is already there...the reply was for the post in which you were giving the example of naming a story about father fornicating with daughters as bible... .if somebody just takes that story it will only be named sodom and gomorrah...because it is ONLY about that story... do you know about skeptics annotated bible??...it lists out all the contradictions in bible..and is still named bible..it was the authors wish to call it that and he did...
Are you familiar with mahabharatha, its a 1000 page epic where randaoozham is small novel of around 200-250 pages.. what mr Mt had done is that, he consolidated the so called worse / evil quotes(stories) in mahabharatha into a single one .. it never represents any thing other than his imaginary disfiguration
which mahabharata are you talking about?..original mahabharata has a lakh shlokas and its mainly descriptive....like how shiny the armour is and how fast the chariot is.....all the versions which are in publication are condensed forms..so keep your page counts to yourself....please understand that randamoozham is not about evil stories..its just that characters are mere mortals and have flaws like each and everyone of us...
