Date : 23/06/2017 Theater : Q Cinemas Time : 8:00pm Status : 40% Tubelight was in rounds for many reasons : Salman after Bajrangi and Sultan,Salman-Kabir combo reunites after Bajrangi, and the central backdrop being the Sino-Indian War.The expectations even boosted up after witnessing an impressive trailer, but the film fails to live up to the hype.Tubelight is histrionic and cheesy to the core, filled with overdone performances and dramatic proceedings, this one is a huge disappointment.Salman was at his best in both his previous ventures,Here he tries hard to come up with a convincing performance, sadly he puts up a cringeworthy act except for few scenes. The rest of the cast were fine, but none of them had anything substantial to perform.Being an SRK fan,it is always a treat to watch him onscreen, and as Goga Pasha,he did his 5-minute long part finely. Tubelight is a quality product on the technical grounds. The Cgi works were bland, while the rest of the aspects were good. The scenic visuals were delightful, and was one of the strong factors which made this at least endurable.Music played another pivotal role in making this a bearable watch, both the songs and bgm were good.Kabir Khan is a director known for making meaningful and worthwhile cinemas, most of his directorial works had something to rejuvenate the viewers. However, things were not in favor of the director this time which inevitably made this one of his weakest or maybe the weakest work.To sum it up,Tubelight is a terribly cliched outing from one of the most sought after combo. Overall,Tubelight is Disappointing ! 4/10
