No other actor would have dedicated four years for a film. Prabhas did. And he became a pan-Indian phenomenon after the stupendous success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. On Monday, Baahubali: The Beginning completed two years since its release. Unlike Baahubali 2, the first part had little expectations among fans and went to become the highest grossing film that year. Prabhas, who plays the titular role in the series, took to Facebook to express his thoughts about the wonderful journey. "Today marks the completion of two years to the release of a very special film of mine, Baahubali: The Beginning. I feel a deep sense of nostalgia and I have been reminiscing the early days when the entire team was working on this film with so much passion. I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all my fans who don't leave any chance to make me feel so loved and special. Congratulations to the entire Baahubali team for this day, especially the man behind all of it, SS Rajamouli. We owe it all to you." Made on a budget of 250 crore, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion reportedly raked in Rs 1670 crore worldwide. The sequel is all set to release in China, where it's expected to have a massive opening. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in important roles.
The latest buzz doing the rounds in Tollywood and Bollywood is that there is a strong possibility of Rajamouli and Prabhas coming together once again. This time their good friend Karan Johar will be the producer according to the buzz. It was reported some time ago that Prabhas had promised Karan Johar that he would make his Bollywood debut in his film only. Now the hero is reportedly ready to make good on his promise. Moreover his friend and soul mate for five years, SS Rajamouli will be wielding the megaphone. That will be the director’s Bollywood debut too.There is no doubt that both Prabhas and Rajamouli gained tremendous reputation worldwide after the incredible success of “Bahubali – The Conclusion”. The film is soon to be released in China and is expected to be among the box office records once again. The buzz has it that the director be free after their China venture is done with. Prabhas too is busy with his next venture “Saaho”. Once these two projects are done with the duo will get together and go ahead with their Bollywood debut project.
