The Great Father What I liked: Ikka's looks, Ikka's acting and Ikka's style. The picturization seemed inspired from Korean movies, which I liked. What I didnt like: The movie felt really hollow. The family relationship between husband wife and daughter was not strongly portrayed enough. Sneha looked funny in her overdone makeup throughout the film. She was unable to portray the emotions of a mother whose daughter was raped. Arya's entry was a joke. Cliched college students doing cliched things. The whole psycho villian thing and how it is portrayed is getting boring. It was one of the things that put me off Grandmaster, the rest of the movie being great but the climax spoiled it. Also, a bit too much of style for my liking. Even in Ikka's intro, he overtakes a bus full of school children and drifts in front of it in the middle of the road. What if it caused the bus driver to panic and sudden brake and caused an accident? I mean...if it was a movie like PokkiriRaja or Pulimurugan then there is no question of logic. But here we are dealing with a very important and sensitive subject and Ikkas intro felt forced. The rest of the cast was plastic. But one good thing is that it felt that Haneef Adani can work wonders with a good script. Hope he does that!! Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
