Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru starring Karthi and Rakul Preet hit the screens on Friday, 17 November 2017 and has been receiving a great response from viewers and critics too. Directed by H.Vinoth, this cop story is based on real life incidents about a gang who were a menace few years ago in Tamil Nadu. Karthi playing the cop looked perfect in his role and leaves a long-lasting impact with his performance. The film has been getting a lot of good feedback via word-of-mouth and seems to be a successful outing for Karthi.

Box office report of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru on day 1 in US was huge with the ticket window with the premieres collecting approximately $32,345 (67 lacs). The Chennai box office is said to have approximately collected around INR 1.2 crores and the reports for the rest of Tamil Nadu are yet to be reported by the makers. The numbers are expected to get amplified over the weekend with the first day of the film receiving string response.
In Karthi’s career, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru will easily go down as one of his best works. As an upright police officer, he is terrific and owns the part comfortably. There’s absolutely no heroism in the way his character is presented. Vinoth, throughout the film, keeps us reminding that cops are no super humans. They can also make mistakes; misjudge a situation and jump to conclusions.

Rakul Preet as the leading lady in the film is also being appreciated for her performance despite the duration of her role not being very long.
