    ഇതിഹാസ പുരുഷനായ കര്*ണ്ണനെ അവതരിപ്പിക്കാന്* മമ്മൂട്ടിയും. ആര്* എസ് വിമലിന്റെ സംവിധാനത്തില്* പൃഥ്വിരാജിനെ നായകനാക്കി കര്*ണ്ണന്* എന്ന ചിത്രം ഒരുങ്ങുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് കര്*ണ്ണന്* കേന്ദ്രകഥാപാത്രമാകുന്ന മറ്റൊരു ചിത്രവും അണിയറയില്* ഒരുങ്ങുന്നത്. സംവിധായകനും നടനുമായ പി ശ്രീകുമാറിന്റെ തിരക്കഥയിലാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടിയെ നായകനാക്കിയുള്ള കര്*ണ്ണന്*.
    18 വര്*ഷം മുമ്പ് ഈ പ്രൊജക്ടിന്റെ പ്രാഥമിക പ്രവര്*ത്തനങ്ങള്* ആരംഭിച്ചതാണെന്ന് പി ശ്രീകുമാര്* സൗത്ത് ലൈവിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു. പല തവണ തിരുത്തലുകളും മിനുക്കുപണികളും നടത്തി ഇപ്പോള്* പൂര്*ണരൂപത്തില്* എത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്. മമ്മൂട്ടി കേന്ദ്രകഥാപാത്രമാകുന്ന ചിത്രം മധുപാലാണ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുകയെന്നും ശ്രീകുമാര്* പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ പ്രൊജക്ടിനെ കുറിച്ച് പൃഥ്വിരാജിനും നേരത്തെ അറിയാം. പൃഥ്വിരാജ് തിരക്കഥ കേള്*ക്കണമെന്ന് ആഗ്രഹം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. എന്നാല്* പൃഥ്വിയുടെ വിവാഹത്തിന്റെ തിരക്കുകള്* മൂലം തിരക്കഥ കേള്*പ്പിക്കാനായില്ല.സിനിമ ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്ന അതേ മികവോടെ ചെയ്യാനുള്ള നിര്*മ്മാതാവിനെ ലഭിച്ചത് ഇപ്പോഴാണ്. ഈ ചിത്രം പൂജയോടെ അനൗണ്*സ് ചെയ്യാനിരിക്കെയാണ് പൃഥ്വിരാജ് കര്*ണന്* എന്ന പേരില്* സിനിമ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതായി അറിയുന്നത്. ചിത്രീകരണത്തിനുള്ള തയ്യാറെടുപ്പുകള്* പൂര്*ത്തിയാക്കി ഉടന്* തന്നെ ഷൂട്ടിംഗ് തുടങ്ങാന്* ആലോചിക്കുകയാണെന്നും പി ശ്രീകുമാര്* സൗത്ത് ലൈവിനോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
    മമ്മൂട്ടിയെ നായനാക്കി വിഷ്ണു എന്ന ചിത്രം നേരത്തെ പി ശ്രീകുമാര്* സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
