Obviously yes..vijay is way ahead. He has an edge over suriya in Overseas markets. But doesnt mean suriya is no where near Vijay.
Suriya top grosser singam 2 aan. 128cr. Pakshe athinte breakup ariyilla. ariyavunth parayam.
For example, theri ethaand 156 cr aan WW eduthath. athil around 80cr from TN itself aan. all india total around 112cr und.
24 India total 75cr aduthe ullu. WW around 110cr.
Overseas of 24= 35cr.
Oversas of theri =44cr.
Now see the difference in TN . 24 just 32cr. Theri huge 80cr.
Vijay is a way ahead. But he is not incomparable to Suriya in overseas.
Yes. Mersal made 125cr in TN itself. that gap has increased in TN. In overseas movie made around 70cr. Vijay has increased its overseas share again. Suriya will catch up with him if he has 2 more movies like TSK with hit verdict in overseas. But the problem with Suriya is his home TN market..He needs to do movies with native content. but that is not going to happen as his immediate next is a selvaraghavan movie. Vijay needs to capture andhra market to become the successor of Rajni..there are positive signs...as his next is an ARM Movie- the director who enjoys a loyal fanbase in andhra/tg market.On the other hand, ajith overseas share is actually below suriya. But in TN , He is on par with vijay.His andhra market is also down. Apart from a decent base in Karnataka, he actually doesnt have much fan base in south india.
