    Following are the Top 5 Mollywood films in India released in 2017.



    Ramaleela : ₹33.65 crore
    Aadu 2 : ₹26.6 crore (31 days)
    Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol : ₹24.2 crore
    The Great Father : ₹21.98 crore
    Parava : ₹21.88 crore


    Together these five adds up to ₹128.31 crore, which is less than ₹184 crore sumision of Top 5 last year. However, the difference is basically due to Pulimurugan which did a humongous ₹88 crore last year. If one ignore the Mohanlal starrer from the comparison 2017, since such blockbuster are rare, Top 5 fared better than those of 2016. Moreover 2017 had Baahubali: The Conclusion, which although was a Tollywood film, but did over ₹73 crore in Kerala. This doesn't necessarily imply that 2017 was better year than 2016. For the same, a detailed comparison between two will be made later in the month.
