Kuttanadan Marpappa(U).. Neat in execution!!
Kunchako Boban's third outing this year is a decent film, by all means.The film doesnt boast of anything special or soectacular.Simple things conceived in a simply way and that is Kuttanadan Marpapa.The film,in the backdrop of Alapuzha, showcases the lives of John Paul( Kunchako Boban), a photographer and his mother( Shanti Krishna).The film, all the way,slips into a romantic track since the heroine is introduced.Kunchako Boban, even today, has the momentum he had maintained in doing romantic comedies.His performance was at usual best, with a special mention to his dance moves in 'Sa Re Ga Ma'.The jokes by Dharmajan work to a great extent.The film is visually well sound;Thanks to Aravind Krishna, the cinematographer.The music by Rahul Raj was good, with a special mention to the peppy number 'Sa Re Ga Ma'.The debutant director, Sreejith Vijayan has neatly taken care of the execution as the film never falls anywhere too deep.The supporting cast that includes Ramesh Pisharady,Innocent,Salim Kumar, Aju Varghese were all honest to characters taken up.The leading lady, Aditi Ravi looked beautiful on screen except for her acting skills.Shanti Krishna was just apt as the funny mother.The story is quite predictable,even the screenplay.Yet the movie carries a positiveness throughout.
Overall, the film would be a better choice over other releases, this weekend.It packs it up all, and is a perfect family watch!!
