VIRAAT Movie Review - CINELOKA VIRAAT- Meaning Massive has hit the Theaters Today after a long hiatus. But, it hasn’t dampened the Grand Opening as expected for Darshan’s Movies. H Vasu is teaming up with Darshan for the Fourth Time. Let’s see whether this long awaited venture has been able to suffice the Expectations of the Audience. Viraat Prasad (Darshan), a very Popular Business Tycoon is on a Mission to Acquire the Thermal Power Plant Project for his Company and resolve Power issues of Karnataka. Surendra Singh (Ravishankar) tries his best battling against Viraat till the end. If this is one side of the story, there are three Lovely Beauties – Keerthi (Chaitra Chandranath), Spoorthi (Vidisha Srivastava) and Preethi (Iisha Chawla) who try to impress Viraat as all of them see their Dream boy traits in him. Will Viraat win this Battle of Love and accomplish his Goal too? Form the rest of the story. H Vasu has delivered a Family entertainer that keeps the Audience engaged for most parts. Sure, there’s nothing you haven’t watched before, but the trick is to keep the viewers completely absorbed in the proceedings using the tried and tested commercial formula. The twists in the tale aimed at Humor quotient, witty and Mass Dialogues are among the main highlights. Of course there are some flaws. It’s clearly evident on screen that few portions of the movie have been shot after a long time. Power Crisis issue takes a backseat amidst this Love and comic tale. Clear conclusion must have been provided to the Power issue, which was missed in the screenplay. Journey to the climax could have been taut and crisp if Song ‘Safety Pin’ was trimmed. It’s again a flawless performance from Challenging Star Darshan who is effectual and charming throughout the Movie. Roles like these are indeed a cakewalk for him. It’s an absolute delight watching him on big screen. He steals the show with his stylish Looks and commendable effort in Songs and Action sequences. All 3 Heroines have done a Good Job reciprocating well opposite Darshan. Iisha Chawla looks great with her Glam Avatar and lovely comedy timing, which will surely fetch her Good roles in future. Vidisha Srivastava has carried off Traditional attires with ease and has done well. Chaitra is lively and is a perfect fit as a Glam doll in the Movie. All 3 have to be appreciated for being able to hold their own effectively, despite Darshan being the Showstopper. Ravishankar’s Character needed more conviction from the Director. Lot was expected as He was seen for the first time Opposite D. Both Sadhu Kokila and Bullet Prakash manage to raise good laughs with their picture perfect comedy timing. Suhasini is subdued but effective. Sumalatha is good in her brief role. Songs fit the film’s genre seamlessly. ‘Munjane’, ‘Ivanobba’ and ‘Maathella’ are Good compositions from Harikrishna. Background Score could have been better. Action sequences are well directed. On the Whole, VIRAAT stands on towering Performances from Lead actors, Humor Quotient and Romance which are its main highlights. The film should work well with admirers of Good commercial entertainers. Go watch and Enjoy. Cineloka Rates 3.25/5
