ABRAHAMINTE SANTHATHIKAL MOVIE REVIEW

  Story: Duty is first for Police officer Derick Abraham. What happens when his own brother Philo becomes a suspect in an investigation? Will he compromise his ethics for his blood?
  
  Review: “How do you know there won’t be another murder?” Asks a media person to Police Officer Derick Abraham (Mammootty) and he responds, “ I am sure that my dad’s name is Abraham.” Debutant Shaji Padoor’s Abrahaminte Santhathikal is a tale of two brothers who proves that they are of the same blood: Derick is a successful police officer who is the final word of every investigation. He handles even the toughest cases that deal with dreadful criminals. When it comes to duty, no obstacles can stop him- be it relationships or sentiments.
  
  As Derick happily proves the audience that he is the ultimatum, the director soon switches to three years later. There we see another Derick, a drunkard and hopeless man who is shattered as his brother Philip ( Anson Paul) refuses to meet him at the prison saying he has no relationship with him. What went behind the arrest of Philip and why he hates his elder makes the movie.
  
  The film shows us a Mammootty who acts his age. The script Writer Haneef Adeni has beautifully crafted a script which has every element of Mammootty’s recent films but also a fantastic story. The actor is handsome and heroic. He is an action hero and has the capability of handling even ten goons alone. Sometimes, it super heroic. But he is no les than any other human when it comes to his brother. We see a helpless and weak man inside the daredevil. Anson Paul too has done a fantastic performance and shows us that one more promising actor is in the making.
  
  With apt background score by Gopy Sundar, Haneef Adeni’s script has been maginificiently made into a film by Shaji. The punch dialogues that comes in very rarely in the film in unexpected occasions will persuade the audience the clap without any inhibitions. The cinematography by Alby needs a mention as the beauty of every frame is so much that lights and shadows too play a great role in it. The stunt sequences, especially the car causing sequence between Derick and Philp so well choreographed.
  
  Every moment of this suspense thriller is gripping and one would watch the movie glued to the screen. Well, If you expect this film as another action film from Mammootty who has been hitting this e against him and sending them to galaxies in one kick in his recent films like Parol and Streetlight, this film is a refreshing change. Here is no Superstar Mammootty but only Derick, the Police
  
  Officer and a caring brother. Seems like the scriptwriters have become intelligent enough to manage the need of the actor without loosing the beauty of the film.
  
  On the whole, Abrahaminte Santhathikal is a suspense- investigative thriller that gives one occasional goosebumps, laughter, sadness and two hours eleven minutes of suspense.
