Movie Review : Sanju Venue : Inox Metro, Marine Lines Time : 3.30 p.m. Occupancy Status : 40% (guess the status was low being a week day. However the late evening 9.30 show is housefull) There is something to remember for me about movie Sanju...Sanju gains the title for "bunking office" in the name of a client meet and getting into a theatre with pop-corns. Sanju already had a previous title earned for "bunking college" and watching Munnabhai MBBS and coming out with the bambaiiyaa tapori language....apun bole toh...movie ekdum zhakaaas! Thoh the news about biopic and the stories surrounding Sanjay Dutt was much familiar, i never did have it in my mind to go and watch it in theatre...Raju Hirani portraying Sanjay Dutt as a Mahatma in his script, will be a topic of concern....i personally dont think taking drugs, having AK47, and multitude of girlfriends, contacts with underworld and the 5 years of jail safari can actually make anyone Mahatma....but what impressed me was the teasers and trailers of Ranbir's uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Dutt...the dialogue delivery....the star cast and the makeover of all artists who were a part of this movie...and it can definitely be a midas touch when it comes from a director like Rajkumar Hirani who has given us movies like 3 idiots and Munnabhai....and can also be one of the career best movies of Hirani and Jr Kapoor. This was when i decided to get hooked up with Sanju. Now the outcome of the movie... Positives 1.Awesomely hilarious with dialogues that are "A" ...with a twist of double meanings which keeps audience engaged and laughing. 2. Superb starcast and make over to suit the role 3. Cinematography at its best 4. Old hindi melodies can b revived Negatives Songs did not add much charm Cast : Manisha Koirala : Glad to c her comeback as Nargis Dutt..thoh a guest appearance acted well as Nargis. Paresh Rawal : A strong and loving father...the son_father relationship has been well portrayed...did his role well as Sunil Dutt Anushka Sharma : Am not a great fan of her...but need to admit she looks super cute as the writer of the book of Sanjay Duttt...looks simple and elegant...has carried herself well as a renowned author... Vicky Kaushal : An aspiring actor...and the most loved character in the movie...a true friend...Hirani alwyz has gvn much importance to friendship in all his movies...and this movie too speaks abt a friend who stands out to b a true friend...loved him to the core.. And last but not the least RANBIR Omg, he has acted so well..seems like he almost ate up Sanjay Dutt...and every act of his made us see Sanju in him..am sure he now shall have a clear roadmap for his career...this was the best ever movie of Ranbir... Conclusion : Am still in a dilemma ..shd i stamp Sanju as a good or bad guy...Hirani diplomatically have put each one of us in a question mark and its we as audience need to solve the mystery with a full stop...why this dialogue, see the movie to unveil the mystery.
