Fahadh Faasil: The boss is back!









His career has seen more ups and downs than any of his peers.

But he has a knack to come back into form when the going gets tough. The rest of the world may find it difficult, but for an inimitable talent like Fahadh Faasil, that by now is part of life.
Fahadh was launched by dad Fazil in his Kaiyethum Doorathu (2002). But the film sank without a trace and he was written off even before he was noticed.It took seven years for him to make a comeback, in Uday Ananthan’sMrutyanjayam, which was one of the ten films in the Kerala Café anthology.

But with Chappa Kurishu, 22 Female Kottayam, Annayum Rasoolum, Diamond Necklace, Amen and North 24 Kaatham,he emerged as one of the finest actors in the business.
His intense acting, the ability to wear the cosmopolitan and the rustic tag with equal ease and the chance to team up with some fine directors, all have helped Fahadh Faasil immensely.
He had 12 releases in 2013. There were five films of his in 2014, including the blockbuster Bangalore Days and the critically acclaimed Iyobinte Pusthakam.
Last year, all three of his films – Mariyam Mukku, Haram and Ayaal Njanalla – turned out to be major disappointments.

2016 started with a dud called Monsoon Mangoes.

But last week’s release, Maheshinte Prathikaram, has helped Fahadh regain the lost ground. The film has been welcomed with both hands by both critics and masses.
Fahadh plays a photographer named Mahesh ‘Bhavana’, in a high range town.

മഹേഷിന്റെ പ്രതികാരം: അത്യുഗ്രൻ സിനിമ. അടുത്തകാലത്തൊന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ ഉള്ളുതുറന്ന് ചിരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു സിനിമ ആസ്വദിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല. "ഇത്രമാത്രം ലളിതമോ ഗഹനത" എന്ന് ആലോചിച്ച്‌ നമ്മൾ അത്ഭുതപെടുക വൈക്കം മുഹമ്മദ്‌ ബഷീറിനെ വായിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ്‌. ഈ സിനിമ കണ്ടിറങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ബഷീറിയൻ എഴുത്തോർത്തു ; ഇതിൽകൂടുതൽ എന്താണ്‌ എനിക്ക്‌ എന്റെ യുവസുഹൃത്ത്‌ ശ്യാം പുഷ്കരന്റെ രചനയെക്കുറിച്ച്‌ പറയാൻ കഴിയുക എന്നറിയില്ല. ആദ്യസിനിമയിലൂടെ നമ്മളെ ഞെട്ടിച്ച ഒരുപാട്‌ സംവിധായകർ ഉണ്ട്‌. ദിലീഷ്‌ അവരിലെ ഒന്നം നിരക്കാരനാണ്‌. ഫഹദ്‌: നാലോ അഞ്ചോ മോശം ഇന്നിങ്ങ്സുകൾക്ക്‌ ശേഷം, യാതൊരു അന്ധാളിപ്പുമില്ലാതെ ക്രീസിൽ വന്ന്, വശ്യവിമോഹകമായി കളിച്ച്‌ സെഞ്ച്വറി അടിക്കുന്ന ബ്രയൻ ലാറയോട്‌ വേണമെങ്കിൽ ഈ നടനെ താരതമ്യപ്പെടുത്താം. അതുല്യമായ പ്രതിഭ സാഹസികമായി വിനിയോഗിക്കുന്നവരാണ്‌ ഇവർ രണ്ടുപേരും.
