    Tovino’s cop role in Kalki akin to Inspector Balram
    Tovino Thomas is all set to don the khaki and boots for what could be the first “out-and-out mass role” in his upcoming movie Kalki, directed by Praveen Prabharam.

    The actor had previously done a cameo as a police officer in Ezra. On how different his character will be in the upcoming movie, Prasobh Krishna, who is backing the film, tells us, “His role is similar to Mammootty’s ‘Inspector Balram’
    that has a cult following. He will be seen throughout the movie as a cop. However, it doesn’t deal with investigations or anything but about a few incidents that happen in a place.”

    On the significance of the title of the movie, he says, “Kalki is said to be the final incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the harbinger of destruction. It’s in line with a few character traits of Tovino’s role but the similarity ends there.”
    The movie is scripted by Praveen Prabharam and Sujin Sujathan. Praveen had worked as an associate director in Second Show and as the chief associate director in Tovino’s latest release
    Theevandi, directed by Fellini TP.
