Action Hero Biju the latest Malayalam Movie is a real tribute to 1000s of unknown Heros in Khakhi. Even though the no. of martyrs in police out number the army every year, society hardly cries for them nor acknowledges their sacrifice. Since we inherited the British Colonial system of policing which was used as a tool for oppression of masses, even after independence this colonial hangover continued. But of late there has been serious attempts to induce a paradigm shift in policing towards people friendly policing. Though there has been change but the society as a whole has not been ready to accept that the police is changing for good. Even in movies most of the time police is the villain or the bad guy around and people find it difficult to see them as Heroes in real life.

It is in this context I would like to state that the Movie Action Hero Biju is totally different from other contemporary movies esp police story based movies. The movie clearly depicts the daily routine life in a Police Station revolving around the Sub Inspector (SHO) and other police personnel working with him. Hardly has anyone bothered before to see the stress, strain, dilemmas, emotions and small happinesses in the life of the Khakhi clad men. The stories of instant justice meted out to the poor & needy on a daily basis and the humane side of police has never been brought out so close to reality. I must say it requires a heart to see that...A must watch movie for all. Police officers & men shouldn't miss this movie as someone has done justice to u maybe after a long while!

The makers of the movie deserves huge applause, esp Director Abrid Shine for the volumes of research he has done and the Hero of the movie Nivin Pauly Who had the spine to produce such a movie, you guys take a big salute from my heart. This movie could not have come at a more better time. 250 odd fresh pass out Sub Inspectors are holding charge of Station House Officers in almost half of the Police Stations in Kerala. I wish that Action Hero Biju may become the game changer in the policing scenario in Kerala and may SI Biju Paulose (Nivin Pauly) inspire these young officers to imbibe as well as emulate the good qualities of him. This movie can to large extent change the public perception of police. At least it will force them to think whether such officers do exist within our Police. The fact is that there are many Biju Pauloses' in Police but the question is whether the society is able to acknowledge and appreciate them. I must say Nivin and Abrid we really owe u for bringing out the real life of unknown, unsung khakhi clad heroes before the society!!! May ur tribe increase not only in film world but also in our society
