Divya Pillai turned heads with her effortless portrayal of an upper middle class girl who falls for a guy impersonating a movie star, in her debut film, Ayal Njanalla. After a gap of almost a year, the Dubai-based actress will return to Mollywood with director Jeethu Joseph's revenge tale titled Oozham.




Jeethu prefers to keep the details of her character under wraps, and says, "She doesn't play anyone's love interest in the movie. Oozham has revenge as its subject and she's part of the group that is involved in taking revenge on someone."


About the plot, Jeethu says, "It's not a revenge thriller and doesn't have any suspense elements. The reason for the group's revenge and their modus operandi forms the plot. Prithviraj plays a common man in the film."


Meanwhile, Divya is apparently thrilled to be part of the project. On landing the role, she says, "It was Shamdat, the cinematographer of Ayal Njanalla, who suggested my name to Jeethu. He told me the film would have Prithviraj in the lead and would be a great team to work with. How can you say no to such a project? I met Jeethu and the rest fell in to place."


Divya will join the sets by April. On waiting an year after her debut to commit to another project, she says, "I am working for an airline company in Dubai. It's an 8 to 5 job. So, I have to juggle my work and my passion."
Apart from Prithviraj and Divya Pillai, the movie also has Neeraj Madhav, Irshad, Sreejith Ravi, Jayaprakash and Sampath. The film has Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi as its main locations.
