Shanil Mohammed, co-director of Philips and the Monkey Pen, had announced earlier that Unni Mukundan,Asif Ali and Nedumudi Venu will be playing the lead characters in his independent directorial titled Avarude Ravukal.




The director has now roped in Honey Rose for an important role, that of Unni's colleague and ultimately, mentor. "She plays someone who is very hard working and determined to achieve great heights through her work. She does not like lazy people and cannot bear to see sloppiness. That's when Unni's character joins her workplace. He is lazy and laid back and she keeps pushing him until he changes," says Shanil.


The actress is also looking forward to play the character of a rather strict superior, which she has never done before. "Think of something on the lines of Mamta Mohandas in My Boss," she says. "It's a very interesting role, and I hope I can carry it off well."


However, unlike the title suggests, the film has nothing 'naughty' about it, and is a comedy. "There is nothing controversial in it, and the caption goes —'Strictly for families'. The story revolves around three young men with different pasts who arrive at Kochi, played by Asif, Unni and Vinay Forrt. It's all about how they solve the problems they encounter; their coming of age story," says Shanil.
